After the foundation of the club back in 1987, it was a natural progression after scrambles to run classic trials as well.
Since then our trials have been well supported and on average eight trials a year are held. Entries average 50/60 riders. This year we will hold trials catering for various classes of machinery and ages, with two routes on every section (easy & hard) so that all riders are catered for.

Trials: Ayford Farm Trial
11/12/2011
Ayford Farm,St Catherines - 10.30am
What a day ! The rain totally changed sections which had been fine until then,My apologies to riders who struggled, its a difficult thing to judge how hard to mark them. The tarmac for the carpark failed to turn up...... But 83 of us had a go,many thanks to all who turned up and rode, observed, scored or helped push cars out of the field ! I have yet to work out how to alter the weather.(And the new website.....)
I've spoken to Mike today and we will bear in mind how quickly the ground became so slippery for the next time we use this venue.I'm trying to get permission to use the land at a different time of year, but I'm not sure this will be possible.
Merry Christmas and hope to see you all in the new year.

Even the weather was good ! After taking the gamble of going into the woods we seemed to have the sections about right looking at the scores, and hearing the comments from riders.
Even my whinging about a lack of observers did the trick ! My cup overfloweth.... For the first time ever we had too many.Which meant that there was no reason at all for me not to wobble round too - which I did and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Our next event is our charity trial at Star farm,Marshfield, which now we have opened up the stream sections we can really get the best out of the land - see you there, Jon.
Thank you to all who helped - it makes a much better day out for us,
Results are up for us all to look at too.

Thank you all - all 85 of you for turning up and riding on a day where the weather could have been so much worse.... Judging by the favourable comments most had a good time and with the kind donations we have raised £730 for the Macmillan Cancer charity.
Again we had a nice selection of bikes, it is good to see them all going round. A special thank you to John for helping with clearing on friday and to Mike - C of C for setting out the excellent sections and observing. Not forgetting the other eight observers and of course Sandy and Nicky for sorting the paperwork and computer stuff. Cheers for now,see you at Fry's Bottom, Jon.
